GREETING:
Wishing you joy this Christmas
VERSE:
“When they saw the star, they were overjoyed."
Matthew 2:10
ARTWORK DESCRIPTION:
"This star shows when Jesus was born and we know it is Christmas.
In my culture, when we see a special star like a shooting star that lights up the sky, we mustn't point to it because the star represents an importmant warrior and we must show them respect.
We also read the stars to know the times to hunt for emu and turtle and when our old people were canoeing at sea they knew the seasons and followed the stars for a safe way home."

Sending cards overseas presents an opportunity to showcase Australian indigenous art and the stories of our people. The verse and design are what attracted me to this one.
