Artwork description: The artwork celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ in the presence of Mary and Joseph.
The star plays a central part in the story. Those who wanted to bring gifts followed the star to Jesus. The painting is a symbol for people and tribes of all backgrounds to follow in the footsteps and gather together in unity to give thanks for the peace and glory that Jesus’ birth blessed our land with.

Artist bio: Laura Connolly
Laura is a 24 year old Wiradjuri woman who lives in the Central West. Born and raised on the South Coast, Laura has a deep cultural connection to both the Yuin nation and Wiradjuri Country. This is reflected in a lot of her artworks as she draws on the blues and earthy colours from both landscapes.
